Software update instructions and download for JDSU MTS-X000 platforms

Software update instructions:

Please read the instructions below carefully before downloading the .exe file and performing the update.

1. Format the USB memory stick with the platform (Ensure that you have a USB memory stick with at least 128 Mb memory available). In order to do this:

   • Insert the USB memory stick into one of the USB ports on your platform.

   • In the "System" menu, successively select "Expert Tools", "Media Utilities", "USBflash Format" and confirm the formatting operation.

2. Insert your USB memory stick into your computer.

3. Download the update .exe file and save it in your computer.

4. Once the download is complete, open the .exe file. A window will appear called "Winzip self extractor". Check that the extraction folder corresponds to the USB memory stick ("drive name:\") then press "Unzip".

5. Once the extraction process is complete, a message indicating the number of files unzipped successfully will appear.

6. Remove the USB memory stick using the appropriate procedure for your computer.

7. Insert your USB memory stick into the JDSU platform making sure that the platform is switched off and not connected to the mains supply. Then connect the platform to the power supply and switch on the platform.

8. Go to the "System" menu, then press "Expert Tools". Press "Software Upgrade".

9. Select "Copy from USB". Confirm the action. The update should then begin.

10. The update takes approximately ten minutes. The platform may restart several times during this process.

11. To verify that the unit has been correctly updated, from the "System" menu, press the "Help" soft key and check the firmware versions.
